For the last three weeks, we ( jess and sarah ) have been studying gamma-ray emissions associated with solar flares at Project SMART. Using information gathered over ten years by research scientists using SMM/GRS AND CGRO/COMPTEL instruments, we are hoping to predict when these gamma ray emmissions will occur. This is done through long tedious hours of using the computer to enter data onto spreadsheets, plot it on graphs , and to look for the slightest of correlations between various data sets. If you don't understand any of the technical terms, click on glossary , and although we didn't have time to finish it, we might have a definition of a word you don't know.
